COPD
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, often known as COPD, is a progressive illness, which means that the condition progressively worsens with time. Because COPD causes less air to move in and out of the airways, breathing becomes more difficult.
More than 15 million American adults have COPD, and a substantial number of those people are undiagnosed. Women make for over half of the diagnosed population. According to the CDC, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is the fourth largest cause of mortality in the United States and a primary cause of disability (CDC).
COPD may be prevented by avoiding smoking. Smoking causes COPD. COPD sufferers usually smoke or smoked. 30% of COPD patients never smoked. Oxygen is often prescribed by doctors for COPD patients in an effort to increase their oxygen consumption. We here at Bloom Meta Health (BMH) can help those with COPD live a more productive life by improving oxygen uptake, increasing oxygen consumption and developing those with muscles that help you breathe.
